Rapid7 Extends Command Platform Capability with Middle East Region Launch

We’re excited to announce that Rapid7’s Command Platform expansion allows Exposure Command to be available in a new AWS region in the Middle East with the API name, me-central-1.

This AWS addition gives organizations across the region faster access to our leading exposure management platform — and, just as importantly, the ability to meet local compliance and data residency requirements with confidence.

Why this matters for Middle East customers

For many organizations in the Middle East, cloud adoption has always carried an important caveat: where data lives matters. Governments and regulators across the region have introduced frameworks designed to protect personal data and ensure that sensitive information remains within national or regional borders.

By making Exposure Command available in-region, Rapid7 is helping customers:

  • Align with local data residency laws: in the UAE, the Federal Data Protection Law (PDPL) — along with free zone regulations in DIFC and ADGM — places clear rules around where and how personal data can be processed.

  • Support regulated sectors: critical infrastructure operators — from energy and telecom to finance, government, and healthcare — often face stricter requirements to ensure sensitive data remains onshore. Hosting Exposure Command in the Middle East means these organizations can meet compliance needs without sacrificing security visibility or performance.

  • Build trust and resilience: by keeping exposure management data within the region, customers gain not only lower latency and improved performance, but also greater confidence that their cloud security strategy aligns with both global standards (like GDPR and ISO 27001) and local regulations.

A commitment to customers in the region

At Rapid7, our mission is to make it easier for every organization to securely advance. With this expansion, we’re proud to support our Middle East customers on that journey — delivering the power of Exposure Command while respecting the sovereignty, privacy, and compliance priorities that matter most in the region.

Rapid7 and vision alignment

The expansion of Exposure Command into a Middle East AWS region also aligns with the region’s broader digital transformation goals, for example UAE Vision 2031. This national strategy emphasizes innovation, cloud adoption, and building resilient, world-class digital infrastructure. By enabling organizations to keep security data within the region, Rapid7 supports these ambitions—helping customers accelerate modernization, meet evolving compliance requirements, and strengthen their security posture as they embrace the next decade of growth and innovation.

Rapid7’s Exposure Command

Exposure Command combines complete attack surface visibility with high-fidelity risk context and insight into your organization’s security posture. Exposure Command aggregates findings from both Rapid7’s native exposure detection capabilities as well as third-party exposure and enrichment sources you’ve already got in place, so you are able to:

  • Extend risk coverage to cloud environments with real-time agentless assessment

  • Zero-in on exposures and vulnerabilities with threat-aware risk context

  • Continuously assess your attack surface, validate exposures, and receive actionable remediation guidance

  • Efficiently operationalize your exposure management program and automate enforcement of security and compliance policies with native, no-code automation
